Meet the Directors

Robert C. Byrd is a founder and Chairman of the Board of Bank of Bartlett and Bartlett Mortgage and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank. A graduate of the University of Memphis, Mr. Byrd holds both a BBA and MS degree
in Marketing. 

 

 

 


Dan R. Byrd is also a founder of Bank of Bartlett and Bartlett Mortgage and holds the positions of Vice Chairman, Secretary, and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Byrd is a graduate of Memphis State University. From 1982 to 1996, Mr. Byrd served District 99 as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives. During his tenure as a representative, Mr. Byrd chaired and served on numerous committees and passed into law many of the most important pieces of legislation enacted during this period. 

 

 


Harold W. Byrd is a founder and Vice Chairman and President for the Bank of Bartlett. A graduate of University of Memphis, Mr. Byrd received BBA and MS degrees in Marketing. From 1976 to 1982, Mr. Byrd served District 99 as a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for three terms. Mr. Byrd serves as a member of several civic organizations throughout Memphis. 

 

 


Also a founder of the Bank of Bartlett and Bartlett Mortgage, John W. Byrd is President and Chief Executive Officer of Bartlett Mortgage, a subsidiary of the parent company, West Tennessee Bancshares, Inc. Mr. Byrd is a graduate of Syracuse University Language School and has completed extensive courses in mortgage banking. 

 

 

 


Veronica Coleman-Davis joined the Bank of Bartlett's Board of Directors in November 2002. A former United States Attorney, Mrs. Coleman-Davis is currently President and CEO of the National Institute for Law and Equity ("NILE"). Her legal career spans 26 years which includes founding partner of the law firm Coleman, Sorak & Williams, Attorney for Federal Express Corporation, Assistant and Legal Counsel to the President of Memphis State University, and Juvenile Court Referee. She is currently an adjunct instructor at the University of Memphis in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and Co-Chair of the Memphis Mentoring Partnership. 

 


David Porter joined the Board of Directors in 2001 and is President of David Porter Enterprises and is Managing Member and CEO of International Pocket Records. Mr. Porter achieved phenomenal success as a songwriter/producer at the former STAX Records. His works have been produced either individually or in collaboration with more than 200 noted artists. Mr. Porter is a graduate of LeMoyne College, has received numerous achievement awards, and serves on a wide range of professional and civic boards.

 

 


When Lawler came to Youth Villages in 1986, it was a struggling program. Since then, Lawler has grown the organization into a vast network of services that spans 33 sites in five states, serving more than 6,000 children and families annually. Under Lawler's leadership, Youth Villages has been cited as a national model by the American Youth Policy Forum and the National Coalition for Juvenile Justice. Personally, Lawler is one of only three leaders from the non-profit sector to be named to the prestigious Society of Entrepreneurs. Lawler is the also recipient of the Thomas W. Briggs Community Service Award, the United Way Pinnacle Leadership Award and the Bridges Salute to Youth Award, among others. Lawler holds a Master's Degree from the University of Memphis.
