History of Bank of Bartlett
Bank of Bartlett, organized by local investors and opened for business in 1980, grew rapidly to become the largest "community bank" in the Memphis market, and the 17th largest bank in Tennessee. Bartlett Mortgage, a subsidiary opened in 1983, has consistently ranked from 3rd to 5th in the dollar volume of mortgages originated annually.
Bartlett Travel opened in 1987 as another subsidiary of Bank of Bartlett and provides and array of leisure and business travel opportunities to our customers. In 1997, Bank of Bartlett began a joint venture with Primevest, a division of ING, to offer brokerage investments, life insurance, and estate planning guidance.
Friendly and responsive customer service to make customers "feel at home" was the key driving force for the Bank's growth. To maintain and improve that service level, we have built a growing distribution network to deliver a wide array of products and services.
As Bartlett grew from a sleepy community to a vibrant suburb in one of the most affluent areas of the Memphis area, Bank of Bartlett has expanded its locations to a network of eight branches in key Memphis submarkets. Bartlett Mortgage is located in six of the eight Bank branches and has its own headquarters in Bartlett. Bartlett Travel is located within the Wolfchase Branch, and Bartlett Investment Center is located in the Main Office, with service in all of our eight locations. All branches are open from 9 to 5 from Monday through Thursday, 7:30 to 6 on Friday, and from 9 to Noon on Saturday.
